Rysigo Projects Data Hub enables customers to seamlessly integrate Oracle Projects Applications with Oracle Primavera P6. By leveraging the Rysigo Projects Data Hub, customers can integrate all project related data regardless of source. Through a simple user interface you can determine what project data is transferred between applications and how project attributes from one application to the other are mapped. In addition, you can even incorporate 3rd party applications and their mapping rules that can be incorporated even helping to cleanse project data if needed. Users such as Project managers and cost control engineers can then determine what project information - Schedule, Progress and Financial data is transferred based upon their need and security privileges.

POWER Engineers is a global consulting engineering firm specializing in the delivery of integrated solutions for energy, food and beverage, facilities, communications, environmental, and federal markets. Founded in 1976, it is an employee-­‐ owned company with more than 1, 700 employees and over 30 offices throughout the United States and abroad.

Business Challenge

According to PricewaterhouseCoopers 9th Annual Global CEO Survey, 77% of global CEO's concluded that the level of complexity within their organizations is higher than 3 years ago. This has been attributed to numerous business factors such as acquisitions, strategic alliances, off shoring and outsourcing. To add to this complexity is conforming to local, national and international laws in addition to industry and regulatory standards all coupled with requiring international reporting standards to ensure financial accountability and stability. These business complexities drive cost upward and according to PricewaterhouseCoopers 50% of senior execs believe adoption of best practices, standardization and simplification of business processes will create efficient, streamlined and effective operational teams -­‐ ultimately reducing costs.

Over the past few years, POWER Engineers has expanded its service offerings in the UK and SA in order to provide competitive, global consulting, and engineering expertise to local clients.

Due to global company growth, uncommon financial accounting systems resulted in insufficient reporting that was difficult to verify for accuracy at period end reporting. Furthermore, the reporting required for managing billable projects was insufficient and ultimately resulted in working outside of the accounting system. This directly affected the US Finance teams’ workload who now had to also consolidate, verify and report on global operations across numerous currencies that the current Oracle E-­‐Business system had not been configured to do.

As POWER began to manage more and more projects internationally, each using different software and often using different currencies, it was becoming nearly impossible to keep up with the job of reconciling ledgers across platforms," says Darlene Norton, POWER's Controller.

In addition to reconciling information every month, the challenge of actually managing projects that crossed operating units and accounting platforms using a global resource pool was daunting.

Solution Approach

Rysigo’s recommendation was to deploy a new single global instance that would centralize project , HR and financial data using Oracle E-­‐Business Suite R12.1.3. transitioning in 3 phases:

Deploy R12.1.3 for international business units which could also be used as a pilot instance.
Upgrade the US Instance of 11.5.10 to R12.1.3
Migrate the International Data into the US completing the transition to a central, common accounting system.
