With Oracle as the backbone, the designers of SequelMed have rendered it as a truly fault-tolerant application thereby virtually eliminating system crashing and providing dependability, continuity and stability. Furthermore, designed from the ground up as a data-centric network friendly application, SequelMed offers true LAN/WAN capabilities. As a true multi-tier application, only data is passed over the network, when needed, reducing network traffic and performance problems. Creative data caching and search-ahead techniques ensure excellent performance on bandwidth stingy LAN/WANs. T1, Frame Relay, DSL and ISDN connections are typically used for remote locations with multiple users, while 33.6 or 56K modems are adequate for standalone off-site users. Multiple offices can also take advantage of Virtual Private Networking (VPN) over the Internet, which saves a bundle by eliminating the need of private leased lines.

    A true client-server and e-commerce application, SequelMed was designed using highly advanced and powerful development tools. Combining the power of an Oracle database with the simplicity of a true and familiar Windows interface, the program utilizes Oracles Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) allowing data to be imported from SequelMed directly into todays most commonly used Windows-based programs (such as Word and Excel). The flexibility of this open-architecture database allows the user to generate virtually any report he or she desires. Other equally important and much needed self learning system and tracking of delinquent accounts is accomplished through Follow-Up (collections) process, which is uniquely designed in SequelMed. Unlike most systems on the market, SequelMed maintains one centralized database, regardless of how many businesses, practices, providers, or locations exist within an enterprise or group. Thus an office in New York could easily share data with an office in California. At the same time, the data is also protected by an extensive security system, allowing users access only to the information they require.
