It offers seamless integration between drilling and well services applications through a complete well construction solution. EDM provides a single platform for detailed operations and engineering workflows from prototype, to plan and actual phases of drilling or servicing a well. Database security enforces user access to tight data, application security enables the administrator to control which actions are available to different users and groups. File Attachment Support Supports attachment of electronic documents to data in Well Explorer, these can include spreadsheets and even picture files. Data Exchange Data export and import is supported at all major data levels via XML data transfer enabling EDM data to be easily shared between sites. Unit Management System Common unit system stores numeric data to a consistent data set. Each user has access to standard or custom display units sets to enter and view data in their preferred units. Easy to use Convert Units feature enables users to quickly enter values in another unit without having to change display unit sets. Reference Datum Levels Provides Reference Datum Level support to enable engineers to reference well depth data to any number of depth reference elevations. Simultaneous Activity Monitor(SAM) SAM enables data changed or added in one application to be updated simultaneously in all others within the EDM environment. Common Output Reports New Report Manager utilized by COMPASS and OpenWells enables simple display of reports which can be saved to a variety of electronic formats. Legacy Data Migration A full-featured Data Migration Toolkit has been developed to support migration of legacy COMPASS, Wellplan and DIMS data to the new EDM platform. Third-Party Development Runtime development kit will be made available for third-party partner development projects. Model for Industry Standards Based on POSC, PPDM, and many other Open Systems standards, EDM offers the Well Engineering professional the broadest range of well data in one database.It will be provided to industry standards organizations for consideration in future drilling, well services, production and economics data modeling efforts. |
