Solution Profile |

Fischer Identity Suite™ includes a provisioning component (Fischer Provisioning™) that is an extension of our next generation architecture. What's important and different about Fischer Provisioning is that it is a clean-sheet design architected from day-one to speed, simplify, and automate virtually every aspect of the provisioning process, from workflow creation, role management, and policy enforcement, to enabling self-service provisioning. Fischer predicted long ago that provisioning would be the most critical piece of the IdM puzzle, as it requires integration with countless systems, but cannot drain internal resources or budget to deploy and maintain. Fischer's approach to the problem was to forgo our then-current provisioning solution in favor clean-sheeting a broader Identity Management architecture. At the core of the architecture is Fischer's provisioning engine, DataForum™, which is based on ETL technology - the same technology used by EAI vendors. Fischer Provisioning provides organizations with an automated, auditable environment for providing and removing user resources and accounts in real-time based on business events – all driven by an organization's business and privacy policies. Provisioning Engine: DataForum™ DataForum is a Java-based XML integration technology, and is the core of Fischer’s next-generation Identity Management architecture. It incorporates full metadirectory functionality and handles the data transformations and logic required to flexibly accommodate workflows for compliance, provisioning, password management and data synchronization. DataForum natively supports standards and widely-implemented frameworks such as Service Oriented Architecture, SOAP, UDDI, LDAP, JDBC, JMS/MQ messaging, J2EE, and the Microsoft .NET framework. It has been architected to reside on a choice of operating systems and web-services platforms. Schema recognition and reconciliation features operate within seconds to speed and simplify implementation by automating the process of determining the existing schemas and formats of connected directories and databases. Policy and Business Workflow GUI Fischer’s Policy & Business Workflow GUI is a Java-based graphical administrative interface that speeds implementation and maintenance by eliminating scripting for designing provisioning and workflows. Implementers can use point & click and drag & drop techniques along with out-of-the-box transformation services. Configuration parameters are entered using fill-in-the-blank templates, and the product is shipped with a collection with out-of-the-box workflows that may be used with only minor modifications. A Workflow Creation Wizard further enhances the speed of deployment and changes while reducing requirements for knowledge about connected systems. Mobile Approvals: Fischer iFly™ Fischer was the first to introduce mobile password resets from PDA devices, and is again first to extend provisioning to mobile managers via their PDAs. As compliance drives provisioning approvals outside the IT department and into functional departments, provisioning requests must be submitted to functional managers and supervisors in ways that are consistent with their job demands and work styles: i.e., Mobile. Compliance: Provisioning affords a natural and cost-effective method for implementing, documenting, and enforcing identity-related compliance. Fischer’s is the only Identity Management solution with compliance incorporated throughout the architecture, meaning that events related to provisioning, password management, and self service are all recorded in real-time to a centralized audit database. A variety of baseline compliance reports are included with Fischer Identity Suite that may be easily modified and extended to meet each customer's particular needs. Because compliance is an architectural element and accessible to all identity components, Fischer does not charge for this feature. |

Fischer Identity Suite™ provides out-of-the-box Identity Management and Compliance for applications, systems, and users. Password management reduces cost and improves security through self service password reset and synchronization Provisioning automates business to instantly provide / remove access permissions based on application events: hiring, terminating, transferring, etc. without any workflow coding or scripting. Built-in compliance safeguards business processes by identifying and reporting violations in real-time, proving who has / had access to what, and documenting and enforce internal controls. Instantly provision all required resources for new in minutes, not days. Immediately revoke accounts and privileges for terminated employees. 100% drag & drop business policy and workflow GUI eliminates the time and errors that result from scripting and programming. Support your existing IT infrastructure - Fischer works with what’s already in place.
