This service is both a help and tuning for the DB Administrators work, and a service that allows companies with no DB Administrators to have a complete remote management of their DBs. The company using Remote DBA Service can avoid searching for tutoring and maintaining a DB staff expert in Oracle technology and environment. The Service offers a centralised infrastructure for the management and maintenance of Oracle Databases in order to assure high performances of applications distributed on client/server and web server platforms specially oriented on High Availability performances. Remote DBA can administer management, monitoring, tuning and capacity planning issues. This Service has been created to apply a preventive and corrective strategy in managing Oracle systems so that possible bad operations do not become critical. The Remote DBA Service uses the product I/Watch of Quest Software in client/server mode with peer-to-peer connections, on dedicated lines or over Internet (PPTP), or on Web (only for monitoring).
