Solution Profile |
|
| |
BE eDocuments is an application with three-tier architecture that allows companies, public entities and organisations to catalogue, archive and track electronic documents in an Oracle database. The service is accessed by means of a simple browser. This is an ideal solution for both small companies and networks of professionals and consultants. It is also an excellent product for sales networks and professional practices, as well as for complex organisations that want to extend their information network to suppliers and clients. Once identified by a profile, which comprises the characteristic elements of the cataloguing defined by the administrator, each document is archived in the database and benefits from all Oracle's scalability and speed features, in particular the capacity to 'index' the contents of the document Tracking of documents occurs by means of navigation in cataloguing areas or on the basis of comprehensive searches of contents and / or attributes Data may only be archived or traced if the user has a profile which authorises consultation and in accordance with the prevailing authorisations BE eDocuments allows the consulter to receive notification on documents (consultable or by him / her) published in specific areas Irrespective of a consulter's request for notification, the publisher may decide to issue notification of the publication (to all consulters or just a specific profile) and to identify those persons who have opened and examined the document (a very useful option to prove a user has looked at a document). |
