CAI Networks' WebMux is a high-performance, highly reliable, and easy-to-use network server load balancer appliance that ensures maximum performance and availability for Oracle-based applications and middleware in a local environment.
WebMux:
- Guarantees maximum availability, provides fault tolerance, and ensure continuous operation, via automatic failover of inoperative servers to alternates
- Ensures high performance and scalability, by load balancing replicated servers, automatically routing traffic to the best-performing servers, and offloading processor-intensive operations to dedicated hardware
- Increases performance on slow links and reduces network bandwidth, via HTTP compression
- Enhances security, through its built-in firewall, hardware-based SSL/TLS acceleration, and centralized SSL/TLS certificate management
- Defends servers against malicious attacks, via DoS and DDoS attack protection
- Supports multiple ISP uplinks and multiple tagged VLANs
- Increases flexibility, via automatic traffic management which can route high-value traffic to the fastest servers and content-specific traffic to the servers that can handle it
- Eliminates unplanned downtime due to server failure and reduces planned downtime for backup and maintenance, by allowing any server to be taken offline or put online at will without service interruption
- Features set-it-and-forget-it configuration management, via keypad/LCD and browser-based configuration, automated health checking and server online/offline management, and customer-installable updates
- Reduces capital and operational costs, by facilitating optimal resource utilization.
WebMux is a cost-effective alternative to solutions that cost up to five types more. Each WebMux includes a three-year warranty and three years of technical support.
